STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Friday visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and met with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

The President acknowledged the role of the Armenian Apostolic Church in terms of strengthening the independent Armenian statehood, cementing the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity, and preserving the Armenian national identity, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President. 

Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and several other senior clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church also attended the talk.
