YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today introduced to the administration of tax and customs authorities of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) adjunct to the Armenian Government the newly-appointed SRC Chairman Hovhannes Hovsepyan.

Sargsyan also touched on his decree on the reorganization of the Finance Ministry, as well as issues set before the SRC in its new status.

“The dual task set before you remains the same: Gathering state revenues in the amount planned by the budget and, on the other hand, improving the business environment, raising transparency, insuring justice, and, finally, creating favorable conditions for investments to Armenia and insurance of positive public response,” the president said.  

He also noted that despite achievements, there is still a lot of work to do so that Armenia doesn’t give way by its indicators to other countries with good economy and administration.

One of the most important tasks set before the system’s workers is, according to Sargsyan, the equal treatment to the entrepreneurs and, in this respect. shaping of correct perception in the public.

Introducing the newly-appointed Chairman of the SRC Hovhannes Hovsepyan, the president noted that the former is familiar with the system: being the head of the Control Service by the Armenian President, Hovsepyan is familiar with the programs implemented in the system.

For his part, the SRC Chairman Hovhannes Hovsepyan thanked President Sargsyan for trusting him, as well as for supporting his activity during previous years.
