STEPANAKERT. - Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun wants to shift to a parliamentary system of governance in Karabakh, which, however, will be different from the model in Armenia.

“It is 20 years we have been struggling for the shift to the parliamentary system of governance, which will be special exactly for Karabakh,” ARF-D Karabakh MP Armen Sargsyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent.

According to him, they have already launched discussions on the given issue in the parliament. Expert Commission adjunct to Karabakh President may be set up in near future, the MP noted.

To the question on how effective the parliamentary system of governance will be in Karabakh, Sargsyan said: “Exactly parliamentary system of governance was used in the years of Karabakh War. If we could win then, today we will be able to achieve success exactly through that system. ”

The senior personnel of Free Homeland Party, Movement 88 Party, National Revival Party, ARF-D, as well as the Democratic Party of NKR are taking part in the discussions.
