After living in her hometown of Akhtala in Armenia’s Lori Province for long years, 28-year-old beauty Kristine Piruzyan, who is physically challenged, one day decided to switch from a passive to a proactive lifestyle.

In 2014, she applied and won the Miss Hayk beauty pageant for people with disabilities in Armenia.

Piruzyan is convinced that regardless of having or not having disabilities, all women and girls are beautiful and equally deserving of attention.

The second positive change in Kristine’s life was when she started working at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia. She said this job has given her not only financial independence, but also self-confidence, new environment, and an opportunity to gain new acquaintances.

Kristine Piruzyan, who had become physically challenged at the age of 14, is convinced that she will walk again after a while, and the important thing is the faith in one’s own strength.
