YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will allocate $750 thousand to convene the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) congress in the country, in 2019.
The respective decision was adopted at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.
The decision on Armenia hosting the next forum of this organization was reached during the last WITSA congress that was held in Mexico, in 2014.
The overall organizational costs for the 2019 forum will total approximately $2.9 million, and the participating countries will pay the rest of this amount.
This international congress of information technology (IT) will bring together 2,000 to 2,500 delegates from more than 80 countries.
