Russia continues to work consistently toward resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but solely the direct participants in this conflict can make final decisions.

Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Friday told the abovementioned to reporters, commenting on the question as to what steps Kremlin has taken recently to achieve a resolution to this conflict.

“Neither the international mediators nor Russia can settle the conflict in lieu of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Peskov noted, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
