YEREVAN. – Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan on Saturday received the newly elected Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan.
According to the release disseminated by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, first, Ohanyan congratulated Tatoyan for assuming the accountable office of the ombudsman of Armenia, and underscored the role of this institution.
At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors conferred on the prospects for the strengthening and development of cooperation in terms of the protection of human rights, and reached a preliminary agreement on organizing joint activities toward the improvement of the respective existing mechanisms.
In particular, they reflected on the implementation of comprehensive joint projects, with the support of international organizations.
