The arms race of Azerbaijan will give nothing to it, Armenian Parliament Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov said in the parliament today.

“Referring to army building but actually arms race at today’s session of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis, Azerbaijani PM Artur Rasizade stated that it’s necessary to continue the armament for the fastest settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and that it is the Armenian side which delays its settlement. I would like to once again remind: It was Azerbaijan who refused to take back its snipers and doesn’t accept two of the three well-known principles of Karabakh talks: right to self-determination and peaceful settlement. And it is Azerbaijan who is constantly trying to involve Turkey in the game, changing the OSCE Minsk Group format. We are exclusively for the peaceful settlement of the conflict. Azerbaijan remains the number one destabilization factor in the region,” the Vice President said.
