YEREVAN. - There is no point in post-election publication of voter lists, especially considering the availability of the Constitutional Court decision.
Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) faction Vahram Baghdasaryan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent, responding to the question on whether the Venice Commission and the Armenian authorities have a precise agreement on this matter.
“Our proposals to the Venice Commission are the ones included in the draft Electoral Code,” he said.
To the question on whether the RPA is ready to agree to publish those lists in case the Venice Commission decides to review its decision, Baghdasaryan said: “If the Venice Commission withdraws its previously made statement, according to which the publication of those lists violates the confidentiality of the voters, we will first listen to their justifications, and then discuss the matter.”
