Russia has missed a chance to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Alexey Venediktov, Editor-in-Chief, Ekho Moskvy (Echo of Moscow) radio, stated on September 21. According to him, a settlement of the Russian-Georgian problem will not help a settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

As regard the protocol on the Russian military base’s longer-term presence in Armenia, the journalists is sure that this base will cause Azerbaijan to turn its eyes towards NATO, APA reports.

NEWS.am reminds readers that an Armenian-Russian protocol signed in Yerevan on August 20 prolongs the Russian military base’s presence in Armenia for up to 49 years.
