YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Saturday sent condolences to President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

Sargsyan extended his commiseration in connection with the plane crash that occurred in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

The President asked his Russian colleague to convey his sympathies and words of support to the relatives and friends of the crash victims.

A FlyDubai airline Boeing 737-800 passenger plane, which was en route from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Rostov-on-Don, crashed near the Rostov-on-Don airport, on Saturday at 3։50am Moscow local time.

The aircraft fell and burst into flames during landing.

All 55 passengers and 7 crewmembers were killed in the air disaster.

The plane crashed 50 to 100 meters from the runway and split into several parts.
