YEREVAN. – The Police of Armenia on Friday hosted a delegation led by Canadian Armenian Matthew Torigian, Deputy Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services of the Canadian Province of Ontario.

The delegation got familiarized with the ongoing reforms in the Armenia law enforcement system.

The Chief of Police, Vladimir Gasparyan, presented the course and results of community policing, which has been introduced in Armenia. 

In addition, the guests from Canada got acquainted with the activities of the Angels’ Brigade of the Patrol Service of the Yerevan Police Department of the Armenian capital city. 

This brigade is a new “expression” in maintaining public order, and not solely for the Armenian Police force.

Also, the Canadian delegation members visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan.
