YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia “Survey for Seismic Protection” Agency seismological network registered a 2.3-magnitude earthquake, on Saturday at 12:11am Armenia Standard Time.
The underground activity was registered near the Armenia-Georgia border, 5km northeast of Ashotsk village in Shirak Province of Armenia.
The hypocenter of this tremor was 10km beneath the surface.
MES informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that it measured a magnitude of 3 at the epicenter.
The seismic activity was felt in Ashotsk, also with a magnitude of 3.
