YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia has welcomed the liberation of Palmyra, an ancient Semitic city in Syria.
The Armenian MFA issued a respective statement noting that the world cultural heritage should be preserved.
Syrian government troops on Sunday completely freed Palmyra from the militants of the Islamic State terrorist group.
