A hijacker of EgyptAir flight asked for political asylum in Cyprus, TASS reported quoting Sky channel.
According to some sources, during talks with the Cyprus authorities the hijacker asked for political asylum, but there is no data about other demands, the channel said.
The hijacker is identified as Ibrahim Samaha.
