Iran President Hassan Rouhani has for security reasons postponed his two-day visit to Austria for an indefinite period.

Rouhani had been due to arrive in Vienna Tuesday evening. According to the spokeswoman for the Austrian President Heinz Fischer, it was not clear what the security reasons were. In her words, Rouhani was planning another visit to Baghdad before his trip to Austria, but it was also postponed for security reasons, Gazeta reports, citing Reuters.

In an official statement, Fischer expressed his regret over Rouhani’s decision.
