President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan today visited the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

The President held meetings with Fletcher School Dean James Stavridis, President of Tavitian Foundation Aso Tavitian, Armenian citizens studying at the Fletcher School in the framework of the Tavitian Scholarship Program, as well as the school faculty, the Armenian President’s press-service reports. 

During those meetings, Sargsyan also responded to the questions of the faculty and students on the foreign policy, economy and key development directions of Armenia. He also had a meeting with Tufts University President Anthony Monaco.

The Fletcher School implements a number of educational programs. Tavitian Foundation was founded back in 1980 to support Armenian students studying there. The Foundation has so far funded about 16 programs for the public sector of Armenia, contributing about $15 mln for implementing the scholarship program.

250 program graduates have returned to Armenia to use their acquired knowledge in favor of their homeland.
