YEREVAN. - The publication of post-election voter lists contradicts the international standards.

Chief of Armenian Government Staff - Minister Davit Harutyunyan, said the aforementioned today at the open meeting with the representatives of government, opposition and civil society, during which draft Electoral Code of Armenia was discussed. 

According to him, the Venice Commission has once again considered this as a violation of the right to secret voting. “We can’t agree to the publication of the lists but the persons concerned should have an opportunity to get familiar with them,” Harutyunyan said.

For his part, National Assembly (NA) Chief of Staff Hrayr Tovmasyan added that he is ready to legally substantiate that the publication of the post-election voter lists contradicts the Armenian Constitution.
