YEREVAN. - Publication of the post-election voter lists is wrong, thus I don’t accept any proposals with this regard.

Chief of Armenian Government Staff - Minister Davit Harutyunyan, said the aforementioned at the open meeting with the representatives of government, opposition and civil society, during which draft Electoral Code of Armenia is discussed. 

Touching on the question of human rights defender Tigran Yenokyan on how is the state going to ensure the secret voting if the accessibility of those lists is ensured through other means, Harutyunyan noted: “In terms of accessibility, we are ready to provide these lists to any voter so that they can get familiar with them, but we don’t agree with their official publication.”

The second meeting with the representatives of government, opposition and civil society is underway at the Armenian National Assembly (NA) building for more than four hours. The meeting is devoted to the discussion of the draft Electoral Code of Armenia.
