STEPANAKERT. - Azerbaijan made unprecedented [ceasefire] violations all along the Line of Contact, using heavy equipment and trying to make infiltration attempts to the territory of the Nagorno-Karabakh in several places.
Spokesperson for Karabakh President, Davit Babayan told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am, noting that the Azerbaijani side has made no such ceasefire violations since 1994.
“The Adversary received adequate strong response and suffered numerous human losses, two of its helicopters having been downed. Official Stepanakert stands for peaceful settlement of the conflict. But if Baku continues to make an attempt to destabilize the situation, this will end in Baku and with waving of the Artsakh flag,” Babayan said. He also noted that the injured children are in critical condition.
As reported earlier, the adversary has launched outright offensive operations along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, on late Friday night and early Saturday morning hours, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles, and air force. A 12-year-old Armenian boy was killed and two other children were wounded in the Azerbaijani missile and shelling attack toward peaceful Karabakh settlements. The Karabakh Air Defense has downed two Azerbaijani helicopters and three drones, also destroying two tanks.
