STEPANAKERT. - Prefect of bordering Mataghis village, Zaven Avanesyan, has been wounded as a result of the offensive actions by the adversary on the night of April 1 and April 2.  He was taken to Stepanakert Republican Medical Center, the center representatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

Zaven Avanesyan is at the moment undergoing an operation. The medical center representatives declined to give details on what kind of wounds he has suffered.

The adversary has launched outright offensive operations along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, on late Friday night and early Saturday morning hours, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles, and air force. A 12-year-old Armenian boy was killed and two other children were wounded in the Azerbaijani missile and shelling attack toward peaceful Karabakh settlements. The Karabakh Air Defense has downed two Azerbaijani helicopters and two drones, also destroying three tanks.
