The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha has held talks with the supreme military and political leadership of Armenia.

“Specifically he had a talk with Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan,” the CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov  told Interfax-AVN on Saturday, without elaborating on the details of the talks.

He stressed that N. Bordyuzha and leadership of the CSTO Secretariat is constantly in touch with the Armenian leadership.

“We received from the Defense Ministry of the republic all the exhaustive information on the armed conflict. We think that there can be no military solution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict,” Zainetdinov said.

The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.

Under the Agreement on the Collective Security, the CSTO potential can be used for ensuring the security of one of the members of the organization in case of a corresponding request.
