President of France Francois Hollande believes that Karabakh conflict can have only peaceful settlement.

“I am concerned about the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, and I urge the parties to immediately cease fire. Negotiations have no alternative. The president who accepted Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in Paris in October 2014, reaffirms his commitment to peaceful settlement in shortest possible terms. Ceasefire is the most important thing now. The only way to conflict settlement is negotiation. The president deeply regrets the clashes on contact line which led to casualties also among peaceful citizens,” the statement reads.
