YEREVAN. - The development of Armenia-Iran-Georgia-Russia four-party cooperation contributes to deepening of regional integration, raising energy stability and strengthening of regional security.
Energy Minister of Iran Hamid Chitchian, who is also the Co-Chair of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, said the aforementioned at the meeting with Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan on Tuesday.
The Iranian Energy Minister has arrived in Armenia to take part in the Armenia-Iran-Georgia-Russia four-party meeting on energy cooperation.
According to PM Abarahamyan, the meeting will contribute to the development of regional energy cooperation and implementation of joint programs, the Armenian Government press-service reports.
For his part, Mr Chitchian stressed the importance of the four-party meeting. He also noted the efficiency of the work of the Armenian-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission, underscoring the importance of continuous steps aimed at the further deepening of bilateral friendly relations.
