Iran is ready to become a guarantor of the Turkish energy security and fully satisfy its need for energy resources, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said at a joint press-conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara Saturday.

“In the area of energy, we agreed with the Turkish side that Iran can become a guarantor of the Turkish energy security and fully satisfy its need for gas and oil. We can successfully cooperate here. Now that the sanctions have been removed, we are ready to develop cooperation between the two countries in different spheres and in new conditions. We must facilitate the procedures for our businessmen and develop cooperation in the bank and stock spheres. We have also agreed to open new bank branches in our countries,” Rouhani said, RIA Novosti reports.

He also added that the leaders of two countries have also agreed to develop cooperation in tourist and transportation areas.
