STEPANAKERT. – The operational situation along Karabakh-Azerbaijan armed confrontation zone has remained unchanged, from late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that during this time the adversary violated the ceasefire agreement more than 70 times along the entire frontline, and by way of rifle weaponry.

But more intensive ceasefire violations were recorded in southeasterly (Hadrut), easterly (Akn), and northeasterly (Martakert) directions.

In addition, the Azerbaijani armed forces fired from a mortar and a grenade launcher, in a northeasterly direction.

“[But] vanguard units of the [NKR] DA [i.e. Defense Army] control the state border entrusted to them, and take actions consistent with the development of events at the frontline,” the respective statement reads.
