During his visit to Yerevan on Thursday and Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will offer certain designs toward the settlement Karabakh conflict, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) official representative Maria Zakharova said, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

“Sergei Lavrov never heads for anywhere without anything in his hand,” Zakharova stated reflecting on the query as to whether the Russian FM is traveling to Armenia with a Karabakh conflict settlement plan.

“I believe it’s not correct to speak about what plan, program, project, or document it is,” the Russian MFA representative noted. “It’s about discussing some designs, different ideas.

“And the mediator’s role is that we talk with the parties [to the conflict], discuss possibilities, listen to concerns, [and] offer options for a solution.”
