YEREVAN. - Over 300 lighted balloons have been released into the sky in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims. The event, which has been held for already the second year, symbolizes the spirits of the victims which went up into the heaven.

“This initiative is already becoming a tradition. We wrote “I demand my home in Kharberd” or other places on our balloons. This time we have for the first time collected money to help the family of one of the killed soldiers,” the author of the initiative, Hayk Markosyan, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The balloons have been released from Kievyan bridge and Tumanyan park located nearby.
