CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha stated that Armenia had not appeal to the Organization of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) with a request for help during escalation of the conflict in Karabakh.
There was no request, he told journalists answering an appropriate question on Tuesday.
He added that during contacts with the top leadership of the republic he was given to understand that Armenia, by and large, didn't use the most part of that potential which it has, therefore there were no requests.
Bordyuzha gave a positive reply asked by the journalist whether the fact that Karabakh according to international law is not a part of Armenia, the CSTO forces can come to the defense of Armenia only in case of attack on its internationally recognized borders, RIA Novosti reported.
