Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) PM Arayik Harutyunyan on Tuesday met with a group of citizens, who were evacuated from different settlements of the country’s Martakert region, finding shelter in the fortress city. The PM got familiarized with their living conditions and discussed a number of issues related to their return.

“Except for Talish and Mataghis villages, I urge all the residents of other communities to return to their homes, since there are no grounds for new danger: the situation is under our control. I want to assure that your issues are constantly in the center of the government’s attention, and after your return we are ready to again provide relevant support. The restoration activities are underway in the settlements. We will provide proper compensation to the citizens who suffered losses,” Harutyunyan said, adding that it is necessary to return and quickly resume agricultural activities.

The residents were positive about the PM’s proposal and expressed a wish to move to their settlements in the coming days.

During the visit, the PM was accompanied by the NKR Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, as well as heads of Martakert and Shoushi regional administrations.
