The earthquake with a magnitude of 5,5 occurred at the coasts of Taiwan an hour later after an earthquake measuring 5,6, the US Geological service (USGS) reported.

The earthquake was recorded at 12.29 local time. The epicenter was located 65 kilometers to the southeast from the main town Taipei. The center of tremors lies at the depth of 10 kilometers, RIA Novosti reported.

Information on the possible casualties and destructions has not been received yet. The threat of tsunami has not been announced.
