YEREVAN. – The operational situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border was calmer from late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning, as compared to the previous days.
The Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that during this time the Azerbaijani armed forces, however, again fired irregular shots toward the Armenian position-holders at the northeastern sector—i.e. Tavush Province of Armenia—of the border, and by using rifle weaponry.
The Armenian armed forces, however, control the border situation and confidently carry out their tasks.
