YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday received Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Narek Nikoghosyan, Assistant to the Press Secretary of the President, tweeted about the aforementioned.

Sargsyan and Medvedev held a tête-à-tête.

A regular session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be convened on the same day in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

Prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries (Armenia Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan) will attend the event.

Integration cooperation is expected to be discussed at the session.

This meeting of the EAEU PMs was originally slated for April 8. But due to the four-day war which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh in early April, it was postponed because of the Kazakh PM, who did not agree to come to Yerevan, and therefore the meeting was convened in Moscow.
