The State Duma of Russia on Friday ratified changes to the Agreement between Russia and Armenia on cooperation in the sphere of supply of natural gas, oil products and unprocessed natural diamonds. 

The changes enshrine the list of oil products which will be imported from Russia to Armenian without duty. Russian Energy Minister Yury Sentyurin noted that Armenia has completely joined the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), in which connection changes have been made to the regulation of trade between the two countries, TASS reports.

According to Sentyurin, the provision on the possibility to transfer the conditionally estimated export customs duty not received by Russia into the Armenian national debt has been removed from the agreement.

It’s also proposed to ascertain the list of oil products, in regard to which the regime of duty free supplies continues to be applied, specifically by adding liquid oil paraffin therein.

The agreement between Russia and Armenia on cooperation in the sphere of supply of natural gas, oil products and unprocessed natural diamonds was signed between Russian and Armenian governments on 2 December 2013.
