On September 19, the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) joined celebrations on Armenian Independence Day organized by Noyan Tapan, AAA reported. Armenia’s Ambassador to the UN Karen Nazaryan, Kegham Tcholakian from the Knights of Vartan, Artyom Sahakyan from Noyan Tapan, and the Assembly’s Bianka Kadian-Dodov were present. The even twas held at St. Vartan’s Cathedral in New York.

Addressing the participants Dodov said, “Armenia has taken great strides with the Diaspora by her side and we must remember that there is much work to be done.  Our independent homeland is our opportunity to remind the world of who we are, where we’ve been and where we are going.”
