Armenia and Switzerland will facilitate visa regime for each other.  The draft of the relevant agreement is approved at a meeting of the Government of Armenia on Thursday.

The order of issue of visas will be facilitated for the citizens of Armenia who are in Switzerland on work or on treatment, for pensioners and children under 12, as well as for students, journalists, sportsmen and other groups of citizens.

The fee for visa is provided in the amount of 35 euros. The specified groups of the citizens, representatives of civil society registered in Switzerland for organizations of the Armenian community and some other groups will be exempted from it.

The standard term of issue of visa – 10 calendar days from the moment of receipt of the applications. It can be prolonged till 30 days, and in extreme cases, reduced to 2 days or less.

The agreement will come into force after passing approval procedures in both countries.
