The annual report of the US State Department says Iran is the main sponsor of international terrorism, The Independent writes.
The report notes that the Islamic Republic remains the main state sponsoring terrorism in 2015 which organizes support, including finance, training and equipment of groups around the world.
The study states that Iran supports the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, the Palestinian factions, including Hamas and the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria.
It is reported that, despite the nuclear deal with Iran and the partial lifting of sanctions, the country continues to use “Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps” and the special forces of “Quds Force” for the realization of its foreign policy goals.
The supreme leader of Iran Ali Khamenei, in response to the report said that Tehran is not going to solve regional issues with major competitors - the US and “the devil” Britain.
In addition, the US report says, that Syria and Sudan are among other sponsors of terrorism.
