YEREVAN. – The information technology (IT) sector in Armenia has an annual growth of about 20 to 22 percent, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at Friday’s official opening—in capital city Yerevan—of the DigiTec Business Forum of ITs.

“Technological enterprises create high added value and make Armenia competitive,” noted the PM. “The Government of Armenia is holding several initiatives together with the private sector, aimed at attracting foreign investments, creating jobs.”

Abrahamyan stressed that the IT companies in Armenia are now transitioning from outsourcing to the development of their own programs.
