YEREVAN. – From Tuesday to Friday, a delegation from the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia, led by Deputy Defense Minister and MOD Logistical Support Department Head Movses Hakobyan, paid a working visit to Iran, where it got familiarized with the military products of this country.

The MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the delegation also met with executive director Mohammad Mehdi Karbala of the ETKA Organization of the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran, visited the factories and chain stores of this company, and got acquainted with its products.

In addition, the Armenian MOD delegation was received by Hossein Dehghan, the Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran. They discussed the avenues for the long-term development of Armenian-Iranian cooperation in defense sector.

As a result of the visit, agreements were reached toward the development cooperation in several domains.

The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding.
