The exports of eggs produced in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) are not so profitable today because the chicken feed is imported from Russia, and therefore the production costs become about twice as expensive as in Russia, where the same production is carried out with local feed.

Davit Dadayan, founder of Nagorno-Karabakh’s “Lusakert” egg and chicken meat production company, stated the aforementioned during his talk with Artak Shaboyan, Chairman of the Protection of Economic Competition (SCPEC) of Armenia, in Karabakh’s capital city of Stepanakert.

In response, Shaboyan noted that the SCPEC will try to find optimal solutions that will contribute to further expanding the business activities of the producers.
