The Tbilisi Declaration and Resolutions, which the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) on Tuesday adopted during its 25th Annual Session in the capital city of Georgia, has a provision that is unacceptable to Armenia.     

The ninth provision in the resolution entitled “25 Years of Parliamentary Co-Operation: Building Trust Through Dialogue,” contains the following wording:  

“Stressing the continuing need for enhanced efforts to settle protracted conflicts in the OSCE area in a peaceful and negotiated manner, refraining from the threat or use of force, in full respect of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the states involved, and in full compliance with the United Nations Charter and the Helsinki Final Act, (…)”

The aforesaid provision was included as changes and put in the said resolution by the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA, and it gained approval by Swedish MP Margareta Cederfelt, main rapporteur of the OSCE PA Committee on Political Affairs and Security.
