The status quo will change if the exercising of the Nagorno-Karabakh people’s right to self-determination is recognized.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday noted the aforementioned in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. 

Sargsyan stated this during his address at the meeting of the heads of state and government of the NATO member and non-member nations contributing to the the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) in Afghanistan.

The meeting is convened within the framework of the NATO summit in Warsaw.

As for the accusations by the president of Azerbaijan, Sargsyan noted that he does not consider it appropriate to artificially turn this meeting, as well as the NATO declarations, into a platform for discussing the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The President of Armenia added that there is a specialized organization—i.e. the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group—to deliberate on this matter.
