YEREVAN. – The National Security Service of Armenia on Tuesday had set up strict control at a district court in downtown Yerevan, reported Zhoghovurd newspaper.

“The thing is that, according to official information, 2, whereas according to our information, 4 to 5 persons crossed the border from Turkey through the Araks River, and tried to hide in the bushes [in Armenia].

“It is possible that the members of the 4- to 5- member group that penetrated into Armenia are spies, or terrorists, since they say dissimilar things of the law enforcement.

“It became known to Zhoghovurd what the Afghan and Pakistani citizens, who crossed the border from Turkey and appeared at the border of [the] Ararat [Province of Armenia], told the law enforcement.

 

“According to the information we received, they said they do not know anything about Armenia.

 

“They assured that they were seeking jobs in Turkey, they accidentally had appeared on this sector of the border, and that they do not know how it all happened.

 

“Note that there are quite dark points in this story,” wrote Zhoghovurd.
