Eyewitnesses of the tragedy in Nice said that they would never forget such a horrible experience.

On Thursday evening a truck hit crowd of people at a high speed in the center of Nice. A driver rammed the crowd at the moment of fireworks in honor of Bastille Day. At the same time, the truck was driving at nearly 2 km, swerving and trying to crush as much people as possible. After that, the driver started shooting at people. As a result, he was killed by the police.

According to the latest data, 84 people were killed, another 18 are in critical condition.

The journalist of AFP Robert Hallovey who shot fireworks for a report noted that this was a total chaos as they  have seen scattered bodies everywhere.

Gerard who has arrived from Lyon to see the fireworks in Nice said that the truck was driving at a high speed. At first, they could not understand what was happening, than he heard shooting and threw himself on the ground. When he stood up, there were bodies around him, then he saw a small child choked in blood and a woman who was trying to help him.

Resident of Nice Christine noted that could understand nothing, she heard screams, firing,  someone grabbed her hand and they run away into the hotel hall, there were many people who were crying and screaming, but she was in a state of shock.

Candy seller on the Promenade des Anglais Mike was wounded in a leg, RFI reported.
