YEREVAN. – A group of activists has been detained from Liberty Square in Yerevan.

Opposition activists Davit Sanasaryan and Andreas Ghukasyan as well as Shahen Harutyunyan, the son of imprisoned activist Shant Harutyunyan, are among the detainees.

An armed group is holding hostages after they stormed a police station in Yerevan on Sunday. Colonel of the regiment Arthur Vanoyan was killed. Four other police officers and one of the armed group have been wounded.
