YEREVAN. – Around 100 activists have reached Erebuni district where a police station was stormed.

They were met by a wall formed by police. The protesters are not putting forward any demands, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent says.

Meanwhile, police are accumulating forces on the street, top police officials are present.

The activists have called to avoid storming the police station because it might lead to bloodshed.

During the armed seizure of police headquarters, Colonel Arthur Vanoyan was killed and four police officers were wounded. The gunmen are holding hostages in police building.
