The U.S. government is not working with Fethullah Gulen and his structure, U.S. Ambassador John Bass told CNNturk.
The diplomat rejected ties of the government with Gulen and his movement.
The Justice Ministry experts will study the papers on Gulen’s extradition as soon as Turkey submits them, he said, adding that Washington expect to get legally justified proofs in connection with Gulen.
According to some experts, the coup attempt staged on July 15 was orchestrated by President Erdogan himself in order to launch a wave of repressions. However, Erdogan and his government accuse Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen of masterminding a coup.
