Russia has lifted restrictions on flight to Turkey starting from July 22, the country’s civil aviation said.

The civil aviation department assured Moscow that the authorities took enhanced security measures for the presence of Russian citizens at the airports and in the territory of the Republic of Turkey.

Air carriers have reacted to the decision of Federal Air Transport Agency. Aeroflot said that they have already resumed ticket sales to Istanbul and Antalya.

Restrictions on flights to Turkey were imposed on 16 July following a failed coup attempt that took place in the country, RIA Novosti
