YEREVAN. - The authorities, police and the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia have carried out very literate work to get out of the situation formed in the period from July 17 to 31.

Armenian National Assembly (NA) Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan told the aforementioned to journalists after the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Executive Body meeting on Thursday

“It was very important for the head of our state and other officials to manifest reasonableness, cold-heartedness and steadiness to get out of that situation. The literate work of our police and National Security Service (NSS) is before the eyes of all of us and those who have eyes will certainly see those changes.  During many years lots of positive changes have taken place in the actions of the police, thanks to which we were able to reach such a settlement. Today we have entered a stage of legal work and assessments. The legal authorities will give an assessment to them, and at some stage there will also be political assessments,” Naghdalyan said.

To the observation that Deputy Chief of Police Lyova Yeranosyan told the National Assembly (NA) MP swear words of sexual nature and that the policemen cruelly beat the protestors and journalists, Naghdalyan responded that an investigation is underway.
