YEREVAN. – A large amount of ammunition was found in Yerevan during a police operation within the criminal case on possession and obtaining of weapons and ammunition.

According to the statement released by Armenia’s national security service, around 6,000 bullets, 15 grenades, trotyl, detonators, radio facilities, flare-guns and other stuff.

Two people were arrested, national security service said, adding that the found ammunition “may have links to the seizure of police regiment in Yerevan.” However, investigators are studying other versions, too.
